Alumna Spotlight - Celina Uong '00 Uong-Escobar By Gabriela Cordero '15 On February 8, freshman homerooms were eagerly awaiting to hear how ND prepared its alumni for college and if those alumni ended up with the career that best fit them.
Celina Uong ‘00 Uong-Escobar, said, “My current job position is that I’m a staffing vendor manager. In the recruitment organization at Cisco Systems, I basically help manage the relationships with suppliers when they help us. The most rewarding aspect of my career is probably really around the relationships. It’s bringing value to the organization and making a difference through communication, building the relationship, and helping people resolve and find a solution to their challenges.”

Sophie Crinion '10, Takes Lead in Spider ResearchJunior biology major at Loyola Marymount University, Sophie Crinion is not afraid of spiders. In fact, her work on green lynx spiders has her performing field research that few undergraduates get to do, and she's on the cusp of publication in a major journal as well.

Started in November 2011, the company’s philosophy is “empowering women to recognize their own, true beauty.” It is run by a six-businesswomen staff who follow their passion at Lotus Premium Denim.
